Telephone Numbers
Numbers are a fantastic way to attract business. Whether a memorable number to enhance customer recall, a freephone number to encourage customers to call or a higher rate number to generate extra revenue, the right number can create a real competitive edge.
We provide both non-geographic and geographic numbers, and number packages, at a range of competitive rates and packages. We offer full visibility of your call traffic, call recording, intelligent diverts and instant access to alter routing. Whatever your requirements, we can tailor a package to suit your business.
0800 Numbers
Freephone numbers are free to call from any UK landline, which means the business assumes the cost of the customer’s call. However, many mobile operators charge the customer for calls and few count them as part of call packages.
Because of the general perception that calls to 0800 or 0500 numbers are free, these numbers can provide the extra incentive that tips a customer from browsing to calling, making them ideal for sales and order lines.
0845 Numbers
Generally known as local rate numbers, 0845 numbers cost the customer the same to call from any UK landline: mobile call costs vary by operator. Businesses pay nothing to receive the calls.
Many national organisations opt for one centralised 0845 number for simplicity, while some smaller businesses find it offers a desirable impression of scale.
03 Numbers
Introduced in autumn 2007, 03 numbers are non-geographic and quite literally local rate. They cost the customer the same as calls to 01 or 02 numbers, which means the operator contributes to the cost of the call.
Unlike 0845 numbers, 03 numbers count as part of call packages from any UK operator, including mobiles. They are becoming increasingly popular with organisations which wish to incentivise their customers.
0844 Numbers
Often perceived as local rate numbers, because they cost the customer the same from anywhere in the UK, 0844 numbers cost the customer a maximum of 5p per minute from a BT landline. Businesses benefit from a portion of the revenue on these calls.
Memorable Numbers
Whether freephone, local, geographic, or even higher rate, a memorable number can add a crucial competitive edge. Our platinum number selection includes both numbers with a pattern and alphanumeric digits to spell out a company name on a keyboard.
0870 / 0871 Numbers
Customers pay to call 0870 and 0871 numbers, while the business earns revenue from every call.
Many organisations choose higher rate numbers for services such as helpdesks and customer care lines. Call charges can help to fund the services on offer, while the cost reduces the volume of frivolous calls. Some organisations use higher rate numbers for their fax lines for similar reasons.
Geographic Numbers
We resell geographic numbers from all across the UK, including most major city centre dialling codes. Although traditional Central London dialling codes – 0207 – are very rare, we have a wide range of the latest London number release, 0203.
